‘Every time I work on another Armenian composer, I am amazed at the wealth of Armenia's musical heritage. There is such diversity of genre, volume, and beauty of musical material. I am very pleased that I can contribute to Armenia’s rich musical tradition and introduce it to the rest of the world. Stephan Elmas is a composer of special depth and subtlety. In Vol. 1 I would like to especially highlight the cycle of seven nocturnes, which convey the delightful palette of colours and imagery of Elmas’ compositional skills.’
