Seit 1967 hat es davon keine Aufnahme mehr gegeben. haben sich die Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz und Ariane Matiakh das Stück vorgenommen, mit den Schwestern Mona und Rica Bard als Solistinnen. Die Klangqualität erfüllt nicht höchste Ansprüche, Räumlichkeit und Staffelung des Orchesters sind nicht optimal eingefangen. Dass das Hören dennoch Spaß macht, liegt an den Bard-Schwestern, die ungetrübt spielvergnügt unterwegs sind. Virtuosität, Flexibilität und Eleganz—alles ist vorhanden. Hinzu kommt ihre Leichtigkeit im Anschlag. Ausnahmen bleiben jene Passagen, wo die Musik noch mehr blitzen könnte, wo das Virtuose, das hier oft als l’art pour l’art eingesetzt wird, noch brillanter, noch konsequenter klingen könnte. © 2015 Concerti
