Juan Carlos Rodríguez
Pianist Juan Carlos Rodríguez is known for his musical integrity while placing his fine instrumental technique at the service of the composer and the music. Considered one of the most brilliant musicians of his generation and with a fabulous capacity for interpretation of various styles, he displays great interpretive rigour that makes each performance a totally new musical experience.
In 2013 Rodríguez recorded an album of works by Schumann for Naxos [8.573094] which was chosen by Ritmo magazine as one of the best albums of 2013. In 2015 the Paladino Music label released his recording of the complete original solo piano works by Manuel de Falla. During 2014 Rodríguez made his début in Japan with great success, including performances at Toppan Hall in Tokyo, Phoenix Hall in Osaka and Denki Bunka Kaikan in Nagoya.
Engagements for the next seasons include piano recitals and collaborations with orchestras and chamber music ensembles throughout Europe and Asia. Juan Carlos Rodríguez began his musical studies in his native Cádiz, and later studied in Seville under the tutelage of Pilar Bilbao, heiress of the piano school of Claudio Arrau.
