Borbala Dobozy

Borbala Dobozy started her higher-level harpsichord studies in Bratislava with Zuzana Ruzickova and graduated cum laude from the Prague Academy of Music. In subsequent years she participated in post-graduate courses. She was introduced to the so-called historical performance style at the Salzburg Mozarteum by Liselotte Brandle, Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Johann Sonnleitner, taking a further degree there. She was a prizewinner of the 1983 International Harpsichord Competition in Bruges. Her recordings include a release of music by Gottlieb Muffat, which received the German Music Critics’ Award in Hamburg in 1992. She has given concerts and made recordings in most European countries and the United States.
